A little of this, a little of that. Whether Laila is cooking for a crowd, creating installations for a high-profile event or putting the finishing touch on an outfit, she’s seasoning to taste.
More and more, Laila is drawn to simple foods and forms. Eggs, beans,
potatoes — these are ingredients she loves not only for their versatility in the kitchen, but
for their style.

For Laila, inspiration doesn’t often come from a singular source. She doesn’t
experience a lightning bolt moment followed by the unstoppable urge to make something. Instead,
she gathers creative energy piece by piece until it coalesces into something larger.

Laila’s dinner party advice? Focus on the guest list instead of the grocery
list.
You’ll need “characters” to bring the fun and maybe some drama, and “glue” to help everyone get
